Fellow book lovers,

Please join the Lovers as we raise funds for the communities affected by the tornado in Oklahoma.  All of your donations go directly to the American Red Cross to help those in need.  The American Red Cross will provide the basic human necessities (food, shelter, and water) as well as emotional support to those affected that are desperately needed during this troubled time.

We hope to raise $2,500 by June 7th.  Will you help us get there?  Click the follow icon to take you directly to our fundraising website!

This is a wonderful cause put forth by the wonderful ladies of Literati Literature Lovers. Donate now to help those in need from the devastating effects of the tornados in OK. You could win swag from a favorite author or even a poem written especially for you.

Thank you so much for doing this. I live in Oklahoma City but was not affected personally by the tornados. There have been some comments made that giving to the red cross does not mean funds will be designated for Oklahoma relief, but will be put on the national fund and allocated accordingly. If you want funds designated for oklahoma you have to donate to the local red cross.

  4. Thank you EVERYONE for the help for my state!!!! WE ALL appreciated. We were all hit hard encluding my home town of Shawnee, my home was spared by 8 miles, but lots of friends and family lost everything! We appreciate everything especially thoughts and prayers!!! God bless!

What a wonderful thought. Thank you for organizing this for the people affected by the tornadoes in OK.

  6. Be aware that requiring people to pay in order to enter a lottery (because it’s a lottery) is against the law and FTC regulations. In this case you are requiring people to donate before they can enter and therefore it is a lottery: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/ensure-your-giveaways-and-contests-are-legal.html & http://busybeingjennifer.com/2013/02/giveaways-official-rules-and-legal-stuff/
