Alayna Withers has only had one kind of relationship: the obsessive, crazy stalker kind. Now that Hudson Pierce has let her into his heart, she’s determined to stay away from her past tendencies and develop their love into more than just amazing sex. At least Hudson is as dedicated to her as she is to him, though she could do without his new found jealousy and need to control everything. To complicate matters, Hudson has his own baggage including a penchant for mind games and a hateful alcoholic mother who’s set on destroying any happiness he might find with Alayna.
Needing insight, Alayna turns to an unlikely source—Celia Werner. Celia’s been in love with Hudson herself and knows how to ride the rocky waves of the emotionally closed-off man. But when Celia’s true motivations behind their friendship are revealed, Hudson’s commitment might not be as solid as Alayna thinks, and even their all-consuming passion for each other isn’t enough to fix their mistrusts. This is the first relationship where Alayna hasn’t spiraled out of control. And she might lose Hudson anyway…

Found in You by Laurelin Paige is a mesmerizing romance between two broken people Hudson Pierce and Alayna Withers. Found in You is book two of the Fixed series the first book Fix by You was the introduction of both of these characters. Book two picks up as book one came to a conclusion. Hudson and Alayna have decided that a real relationship is what they want. The pretend romance of Fix by You blossomed for both of them into something that they desire to hold onto.
These two people are addicts, not of alcohol or drugs, but control addicts they need to control every aspect of a relationship. Alayna becomes obsessed with her relationships and Hudson honestly liked to toy with vulnerable woman’s emotions. Either this is a match made in heaven and they can both help each other or they are destined to destroy one another.
Alayna Withers hasn’t had a save place to fall since the death of her parents. She has been searching for love and acceptance since their deaths. Alayna doesn’t let love unfold and grow. In her past relationships she has clung to snippets of love and pounced like a ravenous starved beast. Alayna has a deep need to be loved and accepted for who she is.
Hudson Pierce is a very complex, emotionally closed off person. Some like his mother may call him a sociopath. He supposedly can’t form emotional attachments with anyone. The sociopath caller i.e. Sophia Pierce ‘Mommy Dearest’ needs to look into a mirror, before she cast stones. Hudson isn’t a choirboy but should past mistakes condemn a person for life?
So why should you read this book. First off Ms. Paige writes convincing characters that actually have real life problems. Yes one is a millionaire, but he isn’t the ‘golden boy’ type, he is the messed up type, with real problems. Add those to Alayna’s problems and you have a good mix of drama making situations.
Next, Ms. Paige writes a very sexy book. Her sex scenes are erotic, but as the reader I felt the physical connections of the characters. It wasn’t just sex on paper. As a female reader I need a connection to the character, and since the story is told from Alayna’s point of view, I had that.
Also, Ms. Page does a good job with her secondary characters and I appreciated that she put the time and effort into fleshing them out. I like it when an author introduces a secondary character to be someone more a place filler. The emotional and sexual tension between the main characters is palpable and I found the book to be an enjoyable read, with enough twist and turns to keep me guessing until the end of the book.

About the Author
Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine. She is represented by Bob Diforio of D4EO Literary Agency.
