 ~ Synopsis ~

Smut sells.

Michael Rourke learned this the hard way.

Struggling to make ends meet as a mystery writer, he sold his soul – and his pride – as he pedaled sex and lust writing under the pen name Christoph Strong.

No one knew he was the one behind the steamy stories on the bestsellers lists. And he planned to keep it that way.

Until he met her.

Monica Singer, an infamous blogger, is keen to discover the truth of his secret identity.

During a chance meeting at a book convention, Michael and Monica form an instant connection. And soon, an industry rivalry becomes something else entirely.

But as Michael starts to let his guard down, he doesn’t realize that the person he’s learning to trust may be hiding secrets of her own.

Secrets that could ultimately destroy everything.

~ Karen’s Opinion ~

Some authors try too hard when writing a sarcastic romantic comedy, they act as though there is a laugh track in their book which their isn’t, or worse them mimic an old comedy series or movie, and they think they are being original. They are the first to tell you just how funny they are, and how funny their books are. Then there are writers like Amalie Silver, who’s brilliance just shines through her written word. She doesn’t have to tell anyone how funny she is, because the written word does it for her. Be warned this book isn’t for everyone, if you are in the blogger/book community and can’t laugh about what goes on around you, then don’t read this book. You might see yourself and the light depending who you are; reflected back on you might not be the most sparkling. If you can laugh at yourself and the industry that we have immersed ourselves in then give this book a whirl, you will be a better reader for it; as it is charming, witty, engaging, hilarious and heartfelt. Yes, there is plenty of sexy times in the book, but what would a book about an erotica author consist of, ‘How to Clean the Floor 101’?

As to the characters, they are some of the most three dimensional I have read in a romantic comedy, they aren’t just caricature of what the author thought would be funny. The banter and dialogue isn’t forced, and it’s because the characters give good ‘word play’ that makes this an outstanding read.

Why not 5 Stars, cause I want to know what happened eight years ago in detail! I want more details than the author provided. You left me hanging, but guess what, it’s your book your prerogative. 🙂

**Yes the unprotected sex made me cringe, but that is my cross to bear
