From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the next sizzling novel in the Rosemary Beach series, featuring well-known playboy and Blaire’s half brother, Captain.
The look on Rose’s face had screamed that she was hiding something. Hell, she’d practically run away from me. There was something to that. I knew there was...
After ten years in the employ of a mysterious crime boss, River “Captain” Kipling is ready to leave his sordid past—and his cover occupation as an upscale restauranteur—behind him. The only thing standing in the way of his “retirement” is his commitment to launch a new restaurant in the resort town of Rosemary Beach. With his sister, Blaire, nearby, Captain can delay his dream of running a humble bar on the waterfront, but the unwanted attentions of his head server, Elle, have him itching to get out.
Until he notices Rose Henderson, the new server at the restaurant. All he knows about the pretty redhead with the cute glasses is that she’s a hardworking single mom from Oklahoma. But there’s something overly familiar about her laugh...something strange about the way she looks at Captain...

Yesi’s Thoughts

This book is classic Abbi Glines… sweet, angsty, and hot as sin! The Best Goodbye is the latest Rosemary Beach novel and it is Captain’s story. At first glance, I had to go back and figure out who Captain was and how he was related to the previous characters from the series. A quick refresher and I was on board for one more go around in Rosemary Beach. Honestly, I could keep reading about these characters forever. Maybe I will be as this is #13… LOL! In all seriousness, fans of this series and of this author will be delighted to read Captain and Rose’s story.

So for those of you who may need a refresher like me, Captain is Blaire’s half brother and he had a unique twist to who he was and what he did for the living in Reese and Mase’s books. I was actually shocked when that tidbit of info came to light so when this book and synopsis was revealed, I was instantly intrigued. Captain now has left that life behind and is working hard to move forward. When Rose enters his life there is something about her that stirs up old memories and brings out old feelings. Rose is a sweet, hard-working, single mom who has an agenda… and yes, that includes Captain.

What drew me in and kept me reading any chance I got was the… will she tell him, will he figure out who she is, why is he such a jerk, what does he see in that witch Ella, Rose deserves so much, and so yeah, you get the point. This book is about second chances, reconnecting, secrets revealed, and a love that was once lost. Captain and Rose share a past that was both sad and a beautiful. Their story is unique and it will have you rooting for a much deserved HEA. A satisfying and quick read that also serves as a reminder as to why we keep coming back to this favorite series. I’m already looking forward to the next installment in the Rosemary Beach saga.

About Abbi Glines

Abbi Glines is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of the Rosemary Beach, Sea Breeze, Vincent Boys, and Existence series. She has a new YA series coming out in the fall of 2015 titled The Field Party Series . She never cooks unless baking during the Christmas holiday counts. She believes in ghosts and has a habit of asking people if their house is haunted before she goes in it. She drinks afternoon tea because she wants to be British but alas she was born in Alabama. When asked how many books she has written she has to stop and count on her fingers. When she’s not locked away writing, she is reading, shopping (major shoe and purse addiction), sneaking off to the movies alone, and listening to the drama in her teenagers lives while making mental notes on the good stuff to use later. Don’t judge.

You can connect with Abbi online in several different ways. She uses social media to procrastinate.
