Eight Random Facts About Emancipating Andie
By Priscilla Glenn
- This is not a love triangle book! Nor is there any cheating. I’ve gotten lots of questions about that, so I felt compelled to let you know right off the bat.
- The original title of EA was With Your Heart. My friend Brett, who’s an author and screenwriter, teased me mercilessly about it. And I mean mercilessly. To the point that I’d be at work and get a random text from him saying something like, “It really might be the worst title ever” or “My friend’s kid has a Winnie the Pooh book called “Pooh Gets Stuck” – still a better title than “With Your Heart.” (yes, I LOL’ed) Eventually I caved and changed the title, although I do miss getting those texts.
- I can actually play “Colorblind” by Counting Crows on the piano; the chords and notes mentioned are all accurate. I’m obsessed with the song and taught myself how to play it a couple of years ago. To be fair though, Andie’s story of learning how to play it is way better than mine. Read More…

After reading Arouse, which was absolutely fantastic, I anxiously and impatiently waited for Allure to release. I must admit, I was a little nervous because I had such high expectations. I am thrilled to say that Nina Lane does not disappoint. In fact, she completely amazes!
“Our relationship, our love, cannot and will never be perfect. It will, however, always belong to us in all its flawed, intense beauty. Perfect in its very imperfection.”
Allure picks up seamlessly where Arouse ended. It is the continuing story of Dean and Olivia West, a married couple, trying to work through their struggles and put their marriage back on track. Nina’s writing is so captivating; I am immediately and completely drawn into their world. The problems they face are so real and relatable. Dean and Olivia are working on rebuilding trust and trying to understand what they want/need from each other, all with the added stress of an unplanned pregnancy. However, taking care of Liv and the baby becomes Dean’s focus. Read More…

As one of the internet’s most prestigious video bloggers, West talks about high school relationships under the name “Sam Green.” As far as he knows, no one from school, not even his best friend, Cat, has seen his videos. I came across Arouse completely by accident. A friend on Goodreads “liked” a 5- star review, and it caught my attention. I am very stingy with 5 stars, so I knew I had to check it out. I read the blurb; and before I knew it, I was one-click buying on Amazon. So here goes my journey with a book that seemed so different than my usual reads, and it did not disappoint. For starters, there is no possessive, rich, alpha male who just has to have the sweet, innocent, virginal girl to mold and make his own. There are no whips and chains or games of cat and mouse. This is the story of a Dean and Olivia, a couple who have a fantastic marriage; they are in love and they are happy, until they aren’t.
“Since the day we met, I haven’t wanted anyone but you, never looked at another woman, never thought about one. It’s always been you Olivia”
