Christmas is a time for giving and spending time with our families. It’s a time to enjoy our time off and a time to wrap gifts. Christmas is a wonderful time of year for most people. But I want to bring attention to the ones that don’t get to celebrate or enjoy this time of year. There are many hungry families out there that have no money for gifts or even food. There are children who are starving and they cry themselves to sleep each night because their stomachs are empty and hollow. I don’t want to be a downer, but I think this time of year should also be a time to help the less fortunate.
Maybe you could help at a soup kitchen or grab an angel off the Angel Tree. Maybe you could donate canned foods to the shelters or a food drive. You could even donate blood. It’s the smallest things that count that mean so much to people. Keep the less fortunate in mind this Christmas season and help make their Christmas a little brighter.
