From USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton, known for her “deliciously addictive” (The Book Vixen) novels, this Cocktail series novella reunites readers with Caroline and Simon from the wildly successful Wallbanger.

Simon and Caroline are back for another round of baking, banging, and big life changes. Settling in, but never settling down, Caroline has finally struck a balance between the professional and the personal. As one of the top interior designers in San Francisco, she travels all over Northern California between nook time with Simon. Perpetual globetrotter Simon has cut his frequent flyer miles in half over the last year, preferring to balance his professional and personal life, as well. The next step in their lives seems preordained—toasts, veils, and the aisle of rose petals. But when an accident on a photo shoot in Southeast Asia brings Caroline the most terrifying phone call she could ever imagine, she has to ask whether “till death do us part” is a more realistic prospect than faces most couples. It’s been a grand adventure, and Caroline and Simon wouldn’t go out without the best surprise ending ever. One part sexy, one part laughter, a dash of exotic locales, and one pink nightie, mixed with passion, and you’ve got Last Call. Served with a side of Clive.

Yesi’s Thoughts

It is no secret that Wallbanger is one of my all-time favorite books. I read it and fell in love with it when it was first released long, long ago and ever since then I have been a faithful Simon and Caroline fan. Alice Clayton created a story so unique and so much fun to read the you couldn’t help but fall head over heels in love. Since Wallbanger, the series has continued with Rusty Nailed, Screwdrivered, and Mai Tie’d which have all been entertaining reads. Last Call is the final installment in this crazy good series and it truly brings Caroline and Simon’s story full circle. I was more than pleased with the outcome and overwhelmed with emotion when I read the final sentence. Yes, there were tears. Alice Clayton gave two beloved characters what we all had hoped for from the very beginning. It was the perfect blend of sexy, funny, sweet, romantic, and it even had a little angst. I fell in love with all of the characters that have made this series so special all over again but mainly, Simon and Caroline. I was drawn to the writing that painted such a beautiful Bay Area picture and I was able to get the same warm fuzzy feelings that I got from Wallbanger because everything that made that book special was in this one.  I wasn’t ready to say goodbye and I will miss these characters dearly, but honestly, I could not have been happier with the outcome. It was sweet perfection!

“You’re really going to want to hold on for the this one, Nightie Girl.”

“Good god damn, I loved this man. And I would continue to for the rest of my life. For our lives. Because Wallbanger was the only one who could give me my happy ending.”
