Nick –Leader of the half-breeds and the last true hero. He’s spent his life fighting a dark pull toward the gods. A pull he now knows is linked to his father Krónos and the Titan’s plan to escape from the Underworld.
But Nick’s hidden powers are coveted by more than just his father. Imprisoned by Hades, Nick battles every form of torture imaginable as the sadistic god schemes to break him. Only one thing is keeping him sane. One woman who gives him the strength to fight the relentless darkness. She has a dangerous plan of her own, though, and as Nick’s powers grow stronger, even she might not be enough to alter his destiny.
As the fate of the world hangs in the balance, Nick’s allegiances are tested. And no one knows whether he will choose to fight for good or succumb to the sinister lure of evil. Not even him.

Doing a little happy dance as I finished Twisted (Eternal Guardians) by Elisabeth Naughton, it is by far my favorite book of the series. Nick the leader of the Misos (half breeds) human and Argolean is the main character in this latest tale by Naughton. The book picks up six months after the end of Bound. Nick had given up his freedom for the life and soul of his soul-mate Isadora, who happens to be his brother’s wife. She lived and he was delivered to Hades son Zagerus to be tortured. To Zagerus consternation, Nick is a tough nut to crack; in fact he hasn’t cracked. Enter Cynna, his torturer, she is an engima. I still haven’t figured out why she ended up with Zagerus as part of her revenge, as I don’t see what she got out of the deal. The relationship with Cynna and Nick, might have started out as twisted; but they ended up balancing each other out. The two of them together is pure sexual heat, and yes their sex is a little kinky. Nick’s sexual proclivities were established in the first book. This book is the continuation of the story arc that started with book one, but the author has now immersed me in her world. Where as in the first couple of books I felt left on the shore looking at the ocean, now I am swimming in it, and the water is spectacular.
Now to show you how twisted I am, I want a book about Zagerus; as he has such potential as a bad boy love interest to possibly a really sweet girl.
