From New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling indie author Nicole Edwards comes the seventh book in her Alluring Indulgence series, erotic romances featuring the Walker brothers from Coyote Ridge, Texas, and their sizzling-hot love interests.Sawyer Walker has never run into problems with women. The female population tends to swarm toward him, in fact, and he’s never had a complaint. But there’s one woman Sawyer has always had his eye on. A woman who won’t give him the time of day. In recent months, it would seem that Kennedy Endsley is opening up to Sawyer, but she’s got a few surprises in store for him. Because, as hard as she finds it to resist the handsome Walker brother, she won’t give in easily. Not when her heart is on the line.

Sawyer is the seventh book in the Alluring Indulgence book series by Nicole Edwards. Up to bat for his ‘happily ever after’, is Sawyer and the ball he is trying to connect to comes in the form a sassy hometown girl, Kennedy. Kennedy is the local veterinarian and the ugly duckling of his high school class, she was the butt of jokes; plus her daddy is the local sheriff. I think Sawyer better just pack up his toys and go home right now. Sawyer might be swinging for the fences but the pitch has some curve on it.
What I like about this book was the emotional relationships of Sawyer’s family and Kennedy’s small one. Her being an only child and being thrown into Sawyer’s family drama, is cute and heartwarming. I loved the interaction between both Sawyer and Kennedy; especially Sawyer’s persistence, and her refusals. Edward’s does write extremely hot love scenes, and the chemistry between the two characters is palpable.
What I wanted from SEXY SAWYER and UGLY DUCKLING turned SWAN Kennedy and didn’t get, was some interaction to tell me he wasn’t a total jackity jackass in high school. The first chapter of the book was powerfully written, it showed Kennedy’s devastation, how she didn’t fit amongst her peers. I would have like the two really talk about how she was hurt by the actions or in actions in high school. She came back to town with a smoking body and now he wants her. This is the same girl that was bullied in high school, same personality; but now you pursue her? I also found him waiting around for eight years kinda unbelievable. The former boyfriend also seem to be an extraneous character only added to kick up drama. I think the down has enough drama without the ex-boyfriends antics; which were a felony and he should have been arrested.
I did find it a fun light read, and recommend as a sexy winter fire read to take the chill off.
