Two words come to mind every single time I think of this book and this series…. SCORCHING.HOT. Wicked Lust is the second installment in the Wicked Horse series and let me tell you, it is oh so GOOD. I’m not even sure why I ever had my doubts. I’ll be honest, after Wicked Fall, I really, really wanted Bridger to be the hero in the next installment. When I read the epilogue/teaser for book two I think I almost screamed NO!!!WHY???!!! I WANT BRIDGER!!!! LOL! After my initial reaction to Cain Bonham being the hero instead of Bridger, I quickly realized that I would be just as eager for his story as well. It is a Sawyer Bennett book after all.

Wicked Lust certainly did not disappoint and Cain exceeded my expectations. This story is hot, it is sexy, it is downright dirty, and yet it is so well written that it all flows seamlessly… a good plot with good smut. Gotta love both in this one! Cain is the head of security at The Wicked Horse and also an active member and fantasy maker. Yes, you read that right, fantasy maker… use your imagination. 🙂 Sloane Preston is new in town and has an agenda. When she spends several days in a row at the Wicked Horse, Cain can’t help but notice her. From the very beginning when it was just hot and heavy looks and inner thoughts, their chemistry already sizzled. I immediately fell for Cain, but Sloane was another story.  I wasn’t on board with her agenda nor her reasons to get in bed with Cain. Of course the conflict makes for a better story and the author does a fantastic job in drawing the reader in. When the two finally come together, holy hell it is explosive!

This is one hell of a story and I cannot recommend it enough. So take a ride on the wild side and find out how sexy an ex Marine turned cowboy turned head of security can really be. Wicked Lust is the perfect title for this smokin’ hot read. Great story, very well written characters, and by far one of the hottest books by this author to date.
