Zeth…how I’ve missed you!! Zeth Motherf*****g Mayfair is back and as badass as ever!!! Savage Things is the second installment of the Chaos and Ruin series, a continuation of life for Sloane and Zeth after the Blood and Roses series ended. In this book, told in alternating POV from several main characters, we are treated to an emotion and action filled journey setting the stage for what’s to come perfectly.
The love between the characters is deep and unwavering, despite the danger and difficulties they face, from external forces and those within. Author Callie Hart continues to amaze me as she writes for Zeth and Sloane. She gives us original plot and storylines with intriguing new characters that impact our hero and heroine’s lives. Callie Hart provides villains you love to hate, such as Detective Lowell. Grrr…don’t get me started on this heinous bitch! Through it all, the author delivers twists and unexpected turns that kept me turning the pages, devouring this book in one sitting. Author Callie Hart infuses humor in Zeth Mayfair that had me smirking, and even laughing out loud. At the same time, she gives us the dirty talking, sexy, hot as fuck man that leaves readers lusting for more with her sizzling sex scenes. Ms. Hart then, takes this alpha, tough, formidable man and shows such a tender, caring vulnerability that she made my heart ache with emotion for him.
Add Mason to this mix and I’m hooked for life. He is such an interesting character and I’m truly loving getting to know him. He is young, sexy, tough, yet loyal, caring and also vulnerable. I look forward to finding out more about him and how he plays out in this series. Will he be friend or foe? I for one, am hoping he’s on Zeth’s team.
Fans of Callie Hart and the romance that is Zeth and Sloane will not be disappointed. Fantastic read. Cannot wait for book 3!!!
