The Protector is an intriguing, suspenseful, sexy story with hotter than hot alpha males and strong female characters.
Jack Sharp – he is more than meets the eye and trust me he is beyond easy on your eyes. Tall, built and intimidating Jack lives two lives. His professional life and his past which haunts his present … every waking second and the minuets will he sleeps. He is not a complicated man, his past, well that’s another story. He exudes confidence, woman want him and many have him … for a few hours or if they are lucky a night.
Camille is not what she appears to be. People think they know her, they think they are entitled to the details of her life. In a way they are, but not everything you see and read is true. Not everything in past repeats itself in the present. People work hard and change and Camille is living proof of that. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and knows that the dream she is trying to catch is within reach.
Family, for both Jack and Camille family can be complicated. Family though is the focus of the story. With delicious twists and turns, unexpected events and surprises along the way you find yourself intrigued and curious as to how the author will weave all of these clues that are strategically written into the story. Each time I thought I had solved the mystery the author had me second guessing. I will say that I was surprised when the author finally revealed one of the many secrets in the story.
The story is written at a nice and easy pace and picks up in intensity during various scenes. The characters were written well in both a physical and emotional sense, but they were not characters that I felt I could relate with. The sub characters within the story each held a distinct quality and their parts large and small added to the storyline.
The Protector is a story of family, loss, love, corruption and deceit. It is a story of mystery, intrigue, action and suspense. It is a story of love. The love we feel for our friends, the love we feel for family and the love we never expected to feel.
