Most people called it a cult. But for twenty years, Josh and Caleb called it home.

In Paradise, there is no television. No fast food. Just long hours of farm work and prayer on a dusty Wyoming ranch, and nights in a crowded bunkhouse. The boys of the Compound are kept far from the sinners’ world.

But Joshua doesn’t need temptation to sin. His whole life, he’s wanted his best friend, Caleb. By day they work side by side. Only when Josh closes his eyes at night can they be together the way he craves.
It can never be. And his survival depends on keeping his terrible desires secret.

Caleb has always protected Josh against the worst of the bullying at the Compound. But he has secrets of his own, and a plan to get away — until it all backfires.

Josh finds himself homeless in a world that doesn’t want him. Can Caleb find him in time? And will they find a place of safety, where he can admit to Josh how he really feels?

Warning: Contains a hot male/male romance, copious instances of taking the Lord's name in vain, and love against the kitchen counter. Previously published as: In Front of God & Everyone.

Yesi’s Thoughts

I can’t even begin to express in words just how much I truly loved this book. Just when I thought that I couldn’t possibly love another M/M book as much as HIM, I was proven wrong by Sarina Bowen. Goodbye Paradise is one fantastic read and quite possibly one of my all time favorite reads in this genre.

Goodbye Paradise is a coming of age novel where two men who have been sheltered their entire lives come together for one of the most heartfelt love stories of all time. Based on the synopsis, I kind of expected for both Caleb and Josh to learn to adjust to the modern world, and I knew that they were going to find love in each other. However, I was not prepared for what I got from this beautiful story. My heart broke in the beginning, I teared up with how Josh was forced to leave the compound and what followed immediately after. My heart swelled when Caleb found him. Then, with all the hints that Caleb was dropping, my heart felt light and I just knew that they would somehow be okay.

With a man named Washington, and a couple named Maggie and Daniel, Caleb and Josh slowly began to build a life. And what a wonderful life that is. This is one of the best books that I have read in 2017. I couldn’t have asked for anything other than for the story to never end. If this is your first introduction to M/M romance, you will have the bar set high for all others that will follow. If this isn’t your first M/M romance, then you’ll know just how truly breathtaking Goodbye Paradise is. With that said, yes it was beautifully told and it completely heartfelt, yet it was so damn hot that I surely blushed! Fall in love with Josh and Caleb as they finally say goodbye to paradise! LOVED!!!!

About Sarina Bowen

7737308Sarina Bowen writes steamy, angsty contemporary romance from Vermont’s Green Mountains. (Her ancestors began logging and farming Vermont during the 18th century. These were rugged, outdoor types without benefit of a laptop or a good latte. It boggles the mind.)

Sarina enjoys skiing, skating and good food. She lives in Windsor County, Vermont, with her family, eight chickens and too much ski gear and hockey equipment.
