Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother's art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it's in the red. She soon realizes she has no choice but to sell it.
Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.
The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting...but surely her mother didn't mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red...
The Red is a standalone novel of erotic fantasy from Tiffany Reisz, international bestselling author of The Bourbon Thief and the Original Sinners series.

If you are a fan of author Tiffany Reisz’s Original Sinners series as I am, have you ever wished you could read her fictional author Nora Sutherlin’s book The Red, first described by the character Suzanne Kanter in Ms. Reisz’s book The Angel? Well, wish no more. Get yourself a copy of The Red: An Erotic Fantasy and you can share Suzanne’s guilty pleasure.
Scanning the titles, she finally found what she was looking for—a book entitled The Red. On the cover was a picture of a woman’s beautiful pale hands tied with a bloodred silk ribbon. The author? Nora Sutherlin. It was the story of a woman who owned a failing art gallery called The Red and the mysterious man who shows up and offers to save it in return for her submitting to him in every possible way for one year. Lurid and graphic with some of the most explicit sex scenes she’d ever read, The Red was possibly one of Suzanne’s favorite novels. Not that she ever told anyone that.
This “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” literary device is totally in keeping with the creative and quirky mind games that distinguish Tiffany Reisz’s writing. If you haven’t read anything by this gifted writer, be forewarned that her mind is an always fascinating and sometimes shocking place to hang out. Entitled An Erotic Fantasy, The Red is every bit of that and more. Be prepared to leave your comfort zone or, perhaps, find a new one!
I really didn’t want to give this book 5 stars because I always give Tiffany Reisz’s books 5 stars and I may be losing credibility by giving the same rating to every book. Nevertheless, I’m giving The Red 5 stars because this is my review and The Red deserves 5 stars for the same reason the author’s other books deserve 5 stars. She gives you a well-written, engrossing story and characters who will stick in your mind long after you put the book down. In short, she makes you think.
