OMG! Pretty New Doll by Ker Dukey & K. Webster is absolutely amazing. It is like a Criminal Minds episode on crack. Just when you think it can’t get anymore twisted, the authors reach down and come up with a level of batsh** crazy that left me with my mouth open. The writing team of Dukey and Webster has me looking under my bed for the monsters and rocking in the corner with my blankie. So. Freaking. Good!
Benny is back and as demented as ever, if not more. Dillon and Jade have no idea he’s back and watching. He’s plotting revenge and torture but his plans take a turn when he finds what he’s been missing for so long. Pretty New Doll introduces us to more disturbing characters, characters who are lost and looking for their own type of sadistic happiness.
It is thrilling and suspenseful. We know more than the characters and I raced to the finish wondering what would happen when the pieces fell into place and they all realize what is going on and who is responsible. Dukey & Webster do such an amazing job, I even found myself feeling empathy for Benny. Crazy, I know, because he is no hero. And yet, in a story filled with monsters, he may just be the best of them all. Such a complex character. Elizabeth is his new obsession and she isn’t wrapped to tight herself.
Pretty New Doll is graphic, raw, and seriously dark. It is not a typical dark love story. Definitely not for the faint of heart. But if you like heart pounding, pulse racing, eye opening, holding your breath drama, this is for you. Like I said Criminal Minds on crack. If you’re looking for a sweet, happy ending, you’re not getting one here. That ending was a crazy, surprising cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see what happens. Fans of the series will love it. Fans of disturbing stories will, too. I did.

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected.
I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.
