She was my first love. She was my first hate. The very sun in my world tried to burn me alive with her lies and cruelty.Until I dimmed her light for good…Or so I thought.
Now she’s back.Cracked. Broken. Lost. And for the first time in a long time, I feel free.Free from our past. Free from my present that suffocates me. Free to destroy her future.
Her misery is my music.Thrilling. Invigorating. Intoxicating.
For so long, all I’ve done is hate her.So why do I love her?

“I’m not a sheep, I’m a wolf.”
I love when I’m reading a book and I think I know where the author is going, and, then, BOOM! The author throws a curve ball I did not see coming. And it’s a game changer. Author K. Webster does just that and more with her newest release, The Day She Cried. I loved it. I was completely sucked in and read it in one sitting, getting annoyed at anyone who tried to interrupt me. I must admit that I have read most of author K. Webster’s books and am a fan of her writing. I don’t even read the blurbs. I just go for it and am never disappointed. I wasn’t this time either. The Day She Cried is fantastic. It is definitely one of my favorites she has written. It will stay with me.
This book is not dark like her other novels I have read. But, that’s what I love about her. She is so talented and creative. Her books are not cookie cutter. The Day She Cried is gritty and raw. It is told in alternating POV and I love the characters. Raven, Rome and Courtney are perfectly imperfect. Their story is emotional, heartbreaking and amazing. Their lives collide in the most unexpected way.
Actions beyond their control take hold and the consequences are unimaginable, life changing. It is more than a romance But, while it is more than a romance, there are also steamy, hot sexy scenes. Rome is just…yum. Brooding, cocky, angry and hurting, he wants to hurt back. Raven is innocent, caring, thoughtful and an outsider who sees so much. Courtney is beautiful and kind of lost. She is trying to find her way. I don’t know which character I love most.
Author K. Webster handed me my heart in this story. I don’t want to say too much because I feel the reader needs to go in blind to fully appreciate and enjoy this book as much as I did. It makes you stop and think. Actions have effects that can build and spiral. People are not always who they appear to be and things aren’t always what they seem. There are shocking twists and secrets that are revealed. K. Webster delivers a powerful novel, dealing with sensitive subjects in a way only she can. She had me stopping to take a breath and saying, “oh, no”, “omg”, “wtf” and “yes!” I highly recommend this book to everyone. Such a great read!!
