Scarlett is always the sensible one: The sober driver. The planner. The one holding your hair back while you’re worshiping the porcelain gods.

Week-after-week, she visits Jock Row with her friends—the universities hottest party scene and breeding ground for student athletes. And if keeping her friends out of trouble, and guys out of their pants, was a sport, she’d be the star athlete.

Being a well known jock-blocker gets her noticed for all the wrong reasons; just like that, she’s banned from Jock Row. NO GUY WANTS A GIRL AROUND WHO KEEPS THEIR JOCK FRIENDS FROM GETTING LAID.

“Rowdy” Wade is the hot shot short-stop for the university’s baseball team—and the unlucky bastard who drew the short straw: keep little Miss Goody Two-Shoes out of the Baseball House.

But week-after-week Scarlett returns, determined to get inside.

~ Maria’s Review ~

Jock Row by Sara Ney is a sweet, sexy, funny refreshing romance. I absolutely loved it. It is not emotionally angsty, but, it is heartwarming and endearing. It brought me back to my college days, except, sadly, they did not make jocks like Rowdy Wade where I went to school.

Author Sara Ney tells a fantastic story of young love and the awkwardness of starting a relationship. I laughed out loud and found myself  saying “aww” with a sigh. I connected with the characters and was totally invested in their happiness.

Sterling “Rowdy” Wade is a great character. He’s gorgeous, funny, athletic, and just so cute. He is confident, cocky, alpha, has had his share of coeds, but when it comes to Scarlett, he is so cute. He’s met his match. What starts as trying to keep her out of the way so his friends could get theirs, turns into more.

Scarlett Ripley is pretty, smart, funny, and sassy. She is just trying to have fun but ends up with the reputation of a killjoy. You can’t blame her. The lines those jocks had were sooo cheesy. She is out of her element on Jock Row. Lucky for her or she might’ve never met Rowdy. Meeting Rowdy changes things for her and for him.

I love the way author Sara Ney develops the relationship and builds the burn. The banter is witty and fun. This book had me smiling like a lovesick school girl. I love the alternating POV because I love being in both their heads. It’s like being part of the story. Scarlett and Rowdy are just so real and relatable. I found myself talking to them at times like I would a friend in their situation. I don’t know how to explain except that the story is brilliant. I just loved it. I could not put it down and was sad when it was over. Definitely  highly recommend!! I cannot wait for book 2 in this series.
