Lessons in Corruption (The Fallen Men #1)
He was eighteen.
The heir to a notorious, criminal MC.
And my student.
There was no way I could get involved.
No way I could stay involved.
Then, no way I could get out alive.
~ My Thoughts ~
This being the first book I have read by this author, I have to say I really enjoyed everything about. Having just finished reading and looking at the cover art here on GR I have to say the author found a perfect visual for an intensely, intelligent, hot as hell character.
From the perfectly constructed characters, to the unique take on being immersed into the MC life but not being patched in, to the little details that provide such wonderful visualization I found myself lost in the world the author created and savored every word and action.
Filled with intensity, hurt, sorrow, pain, love, loss and family the story centers around our two main character King and Cressida. Their story is filled with truths, lust, ghosts of the past who continue to invade the present, family and a blend of emotions that will have you reeling. Not a story that you can predict and the surprises only added to the enjoyment of reading. A story that starts out strong and continues to build on that strength by adding characters who intrigue, tempt and astonish.
A fast paced, down right dirty, always surprising story that I could not put down.
