How is it possible for a book to leave you absolutely gutted, yet fully satisfied in the most incredible way? It is so hard to explain, but to me, when a book can put your heart through the wringer, can make you feel sadness, yet hope, can make you wish you weren’t reading, yet can’t stop reading… that makes it a 5 star read for me. It leaves me in awe of the author and her talent as a writer. All Your Perfects is the latest novel by the incredibly talented Colleen Hoover. It is a story about two people who are perfect for each other but are struggling in the most heart-aching way.

“Sometimes when people change, it’s not always noticeable in a marriage, because the couple changes together, in the same direction. But sometimes people change in opposite directions.” 

This is Graham and Quinn’s story. A story that consumed my life for two days and my thoughts long after I was finished. Told in the past and present, I can honestly say that I just could not physically read fast enough… the prologue had me hooked with how they met, the THEN had me falling love with how they fell in love, and the NOW had me in a storm of sadness and need. A strong need to know that they were going to be ok, however with a slim chance and hope that all would indeed be ok. All aspects of this book were brilliantly written and in my mind, I would not change one single thing, even if I didn’t exactly get the one thing I was hoping for.

“I miss you, Quinn. So much. You’re right here, but you aren’t. I don’t know where you went or when you left, but I have no idea how to bring you back. I am so alone. We live together. We eat together. We sleep together. But I have never felt more alone in my entire life.” 

All Your Perfects is an emotional read that could be extremely difficult to get through at times, especially if you have suffered from what Quinn is suffering. On the other hand, it can also be an inspiring read… inspiring in the sense that you hope and pray with all of you heart that Graham, who is absolutely perfect by the way, can bring his wife back to him with just how much he loves her. All in all… I hate spoilers of any kind, so I won’t say much more, other than, READ THIS BOOK. I don’t know how Ms. Hoover continues to do it, but she truly knocked it out of the park with this one! It is my pick for the MUST read of the Summer. Perfectly Imperfect…
