A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT.

The concept was scary but exciting…

Marry a total stranger.

Live together for six months.

Journal everything. (Feelings. Fights. All of it.)

After six months, we each get $50K in trade for our journals, whether we stay married or not. But the goal is to commit to the experience and see if the relationship experts could put together the perfect matches.

I have never been lucky in love. This was my chance to find my soulmate.

I couldn’t wait to meet the man the experts felt was perfect for me.

My hopes were immediately dashed when I saw him at the altar.

Shit. I married my worst nightmare.

Right?!

~ My Thoughts ~

We all have the preconceived notion, the fantasy built up in our minds of the perfect partner. What he or she would look like, what they do for a living and so on. The mere fact that we have created this person in our minds keeps us in pursuit of finding them and living out our own version of happily ever after.

The thing is it’s just a fantasy. Finding the right person isn’t based upon looks, how they earn a living or their past. It’s about the person, their thoughts, actions and emotions. How they handle themselves during the worst and the best of times. Sometimes the person we fall in love with is right before our very eyes, but because they don’t match the image we have planted in our mind we don’t allow ourselves to see behind that fantasy.

Talon defines the ultimate rock and roll band member. He is flippant, tatted up and down his luscious body and has the I don’t give a fuck attitude perfected. He is extremely sexual and controls any attachment by being the stage personality he has created and many have fallen for.

Asia has the amazing ability to be thankful for the little things that life offers. A roof over her head, sharing her amazing creativity with the word and tucking away the heartbreak of the past by never giving up on her future.

What happens when the two characters collide? Fireworks in every sense of their lives and the journey the embark on together is explosive in every sense of the word.

I fell in love with both Asia and Talon, each for different reasons. Mostly though I fell in love with their enduring, heartfelt qualities that the author showcases throughout the story. A vast of emotions ran through me while reading this witty, fun, sexy and frustrating story. A perfect blend of happiness, family, confusion, trust and the realization of what you really want out of life.

I adore that as each story in this series progresses the characters from the first three books continue to be a significant part of the story. Like seeing an old friend these characters warm your heart and bring a smile to your face.

Having read books 1 through 4 in the Ashes & Embers series one thing has become apparent. Carian Cole has cornered the marked on beyond hot tatted up bad boys that make you weak in the knees one minuet and having you laughing the next. The strong bond of family is in every one of the books in the series and I have to tell you it really rounds out each story and showcases the best traits of the boy who are Ashes and Embers.

It seems I just can’t get enough of this author and the way she creates characters and story lines that embed themselves into my heart and mind. If that isn’t enough, the blurbs she includes at the end of the books about the furry friends featured within the books would melt even the largest of icebergs.

I have had hours of pure and utter enjoyment while reading books 1 through 4 of this series and can’t thank the author enough for sharing her amazing characters that are brought to life upon the pages of her books. Not to mention her abundance of creativity that makes each story line, fresh, fun, sexy and an all around fantastic read.

Each book in the Ashes to Ember series can be read as a standalone ~ Though I would recommend starting with book one.  The author does a fabulous job of keeping all characters relevant within each book and seeing their growth was fantastic!

I have a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles and of course, the sweet girls that try to tame them and win their hearts. My debut series, Ashes & Embers, follows the lives of rock band members as they find, and sometimes lose, the loves of their lives.

My first novel in the Ashes & Embers series, Storm, was published in September of 2014, and I have lots of books planned for this series. Devils Wolves is a spin off series, but all can be read standalone, and out of order.

Born and raised a Jersey girl, I now reside in beautiful New Hampshire with my husband and our multitude of furry pets and spend most of my time writing, reading, and vacuuming.
