I was standing at the bar and waiting for a friend when it happened.

When my life changed forever.

The woman I’d wanted my entire life walked inside. Beautiful. Perfect. Flawless.

I knew I had to have her.

And by the end of the night, I will.

My next submissive.

~ My Thoughts ~

Cal ~ A dominate, a business man, a man who is determined to get what he wants. Hidden beneath this larger than life character are secrets from his past that haunt. He lives his life on his terms and believes that if he wants it, it is his.

Rome ~ A determined, headstrong, compassionate woman, she has clawed her way out of her past and forges towards the future with fierce determination.

An unusual meeting brings these two characters together in a story of one man’s desire to own and one woman’s desire to stand on her own.

Black Obsidian #1 is an a BDSM story with an unusual twist. You don’t feel as though you have read the story before which is nice.

The characters are well described and each carries a level of strength that defines who they are emotionally. The sub-characters are well thought out and play a large role in completing the story.

The passion which is well written, but for me at least lost something in translation. I didn’t feel the fire, didn’t feel the burn and the longing was lost somewhere along the way.

I’ll admit that Cal peaked my interest and I had hoped to see more of his dominate side within the first book. I liked the twist of events, the confusion within his thoughts at the end of the book.
The story did hold my interest, but not enough to continue on to book two.
