The Savior by JR Ward was everything I hoped for and more. I have been curious about Murhder since learning about his character in the other books. I wondered about his relationship w Xhex and the brothers and what actually happened. I was so excited when the Warden announced he was getting a book. And JR Ward did not disappoint.
Murhder is a perfect antihero / hero. He manages to do what only few characters have done before, make me mad at the brothers! Sarah is my favorite type of heroine. She is strong, sassy, fiesty, smart and beautiful. She is caught up in things she knew nothing about and then finds herself in a world she didn’t know existed. The push / pull was intense. The banter was witty, dramatic, sexy and emotional. I loved them together.
I love being back in Caldwell and in the amazing world that is the Black Dagger Brotherhood. One of the things I liked about this story was that it wasn’t just about the central couple. Don’t get me wrong, the love story was fantastic and the main event, but his relationship with the brothers was also key. Author JR Ward did a brilliant job with the betrayal, anger, hurt and with the unanswered questions they had. I loved the interaction with John Matthew.
I had so many predictions that I was afraid wee going to come to fruition. My heart raced at times as I devoured the pages to see what happened next. I love the way author JR Ward delivers the story of the main characters in the book, while continuing to build and develop the series story arc that continues throughout the books.
The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by JR Ward is my favorite PNR series to date. I love the books, some more than others. The Savior is definitely one of my favorites. I love the direction the series is taking and look forward to the next installment.
