Nightfall is the epic conclusion to the Devil’s Night series by author Penelope Douglas. And it is fantastic!! It focuses on Will’s story. It is a brilliant cat and mouse game that blew my mind.
I have been intrigued with Will’s character since the series began. My curiosity only grew with each book. He is more than meets the eye. The definition of still waters run deep. His story was everything I hoped for and more.
Emory is a complicated character. She frustrated me at times but impressed me just as much. I loved her and wanted to shake her.
Their push / pull was so intense. The misunderstandings and miscommunication added to the drama between them, as did the secrets. Their attraction was palpable. They were steamy together.
I love the way author Penelope Douglas ties the series together. She stayed true to the characters and further developed their relationships.
There were unexpected twists and secrets revealed that led to more questions and more shocking revelations. Nightfall is gritty, edgy, dramatic, angsty and intense. It is sexy and hot AF. If you read the series so far, you know what I mean and author Penelope Douglas outdoes herself with this book!
I love the ending!! Author Penelope Douglas has written a brilliant series with amazing characters and a fantastic story arc that flowed seamlessly across all the novels, while also writing fabulous stories for each of the horsemen, culminating in Nightfall. Highly recommend.
