~ Maria’s Review ~
Author Pam Godwin delivers another intense, dark, gritty addition to her Deliver series with Unshackle. It was everything I’d hoped it to be and more. At book 7, that is saying something. This series continues to be a favorite of mine.
Luke’s story is intriguing, compelling and addictive. I fell for him immediately. Gina’s character stole the show with her spirit, sass and determination. She is an unexpected complication in Luke’s plan to find Vera Gomez.
The banter is heated. The push / pull is intense. They seem to have an inexplicable connection. The attraction is palpable.
The story is told in dual POV and I love it because it allows me to get inside the characters’ hearts, heads, and really get to know them.
Author Pam Godwin had me on an emotional rollercoaster ride. There were some really raw, dark, jaw dropping moments. I could not read fast enough. Secrets that needed exposing. Taboo relationships that were just OMG and some terrifying, heart-stopping events adding to the suspense.
Unshackled is a dark, raw story about sacrifice, vengeance, friendship and love. I highly recommend this book and series. It is not for the faint hearted and there are triggers. But, if you like dark romance as much as I do, this series is for you! Looking forward to the next one!!!
