Meet Amanda Bennett:

I am an author, a mother, and a wife. I was born in Washington, but grew up in Arizona and now I reside in Utah with my husband and 2 amazing little boys. When I was little I wanted to be a Race Car Driver, seems how that didn’t pan out I went with being a writer:) I am who I am because of the people I have met and the things I have been through.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a best friend and an author. I enjoy writing more than anything else I have ever done. I’m big into family and my kids and husband always come first. I love movies, playing pool, dancing, shooting darts & the 49ers.. Lol I am who I am because of the people I’ve met and the things I have been through, and I don’t regret a single moment in my life 🙂

How many projects and stories did you discard along the way to (Misguided Heart)? If you did? If not, what pulled your imagination to the story line of Misguided Heart?
I put off a few stories but I haven’t discarded anything. Misguided heart started last year and got put on the back burner for the broken series. It came to me in a dream so I rolled with it.

How did you come up with the title? 
The title was the easiest part for me. The main character is a woman who literally let’s her heart misguide her.

How does your writing process look? Consistent with regular amounts of word counts daily/weekly… or more sporadic with a gush of words all at once and then a dry bed for a while?
I let my mind do the writing for me. I don’t like to force myself to write something, so I just let it come as it may. Some days I have an amazing flow and others not so much 🙂

Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans? 
Each and every one of you make writing totally worth it. I can’t put into words how thankful I am to have such amazing readers! Always go after what you want and don’t take no for an answer. You’ll regret it if you do.

• My husband was the inspiration for Sloan
• Aston & Shelby’s relationship is exactly how mine and one of my best friend’s is
• Most of the characters a certain characteristic traits of people I know
• The Ducati 848 Evo in the book, is my dream bike
• The main character is named after my dream car, an Aston Martin
• If I were to ever open a restaurant I would name it Sak Lunch, that’s why I used that name in the book
• This book was originally supposed to be a series but I decided on 1 book because I didn’t want it to drag
