After their passionate, heated weekend at the Cunningham estate, Lily and Calder have decided to take their relationship to the next level. But love in the real world isn’t all fun and games—especially when it becomes clear that Calder still harbors his share of secrets.

When Calder suggests they hold off on sex for a while, Lily knows something is seriously wrong—and she’s not afraid to pull out the big guns. She makes Calder a proposal he can’t refuse: an ongoing match of Truth or Dare that she hopes will bring them closer together both physically and emotionally.

But as the contest increases in intensity, so do the stakes, and suddenly Lily and Calder have to face the question they’ve both been avoiding: what sort of relationship do they have when they strip away all the games?

Karen’s Reveiw

Truth or Dare by Ember Casey is the follow up to His Wicked Games.  In this book Calder Cunningham and Lily Frazer have decided to try a build a relationship with each other.  But these two characters communicate intimately in sexual situations but lack the verbal communication skills they need,  or so Lily thinks they need.  Lily is used to communicating with words and Calder is an action-oriented type of guy.  He is used to having the funds to wine and dine a lady, and lavish her with material objects.   Being an out of work ex-billionaire is hard on the sexy Calder.  What Lily doesn’t see is that he is communicating with her the only way he knows how, and that is with his body.   Their love affair is raw and emotional;  the type that burns bright and fast, but in the end is not destined to last a very long time.

Both characters are actually hiding behind their insecurities about life.  Lily is a people pleaser, she wants to fix everything; including the financial mess that the Frazer Center finds itself in because of the Cunningham family pledge being voided.  I understand her father’s passion for the arts and him devoting his life to making the programs available that he does, but it seemed that Mr. Frazer, despite heading the Center for 20 some years, relied too heavily on one family’s donations.  Lily on the other hand can’t fix everything, but she wants too. She even wants to help shoulder the responsibilities that Calder now has because of his fathers ill advised financial dealings.  I kept thinking, is this actually Lily’s passion or does she just think it is because the Center has been such an intricate part of her life.   I don’t think Lily really knows who she is, but meeting Calder is helping her to explore that.

Calder on the other hand is totally lost and trying to figure out how to get his head above water.  He is making the same mistakes his father did, by not confiding in anyone. Lily, is a person who he should be leaning on; but at the same time, doesn’t want to burden her.   He runs hot and cold throughout most of the story because emotionally he is a ping-pong ball of emotions; who is he if isn’t Calder Cunningham the Billionaire?

Throughout the emotional tale of two people trying to find away to come together as a couple, there is a sexy little game they are playing of Truth or Dare.  Well the game uncovers more than just sensual desires; it also bares each of their souls.

On a whole I found the book a very sexy, enjoyable read and Ember Casey’s future books will be on my to be read list.
