Bound in Wishes and Mistletoe by Kat Bastion is a Highland Series Novella.  The plot takes place shortly after the events of Forged in Dreams and Magick .  This tale centers around Robert Brodie Commander of the Brodie clan: and Susanna the run away daughter of the chieftain of the MacEalan clan.

Susanna is a feisty young woman.  Bastion does a exepleary job at writing strong female characters that are easy to identify with.   Susanna is running from a life that has been a horror since she was born.  She just happens literally run into Robert in her escape.

Robert is a sexy alpha highlander, like all of those in clan Brodie.  It must be a clan Brodie requirement, hot, built, Scottish and handsome.  Sounds like my type of highland fling.

The romance is sexy, poignant , and not without a bump or two in the rode.  Bastion does sexy Scots very well.  Bastion via her character of Isobel, brings Christmas to clan Brodie.

The story expands on the unique qualities of clan Brodie, the characters and their magical realm.  A small side story between Briget and Skorpius the angel unfolds and is part of the set up for book #2 of the Highland Series.  This was a very enjoyable read.
