She is the author of the New York Times bestselling Chicagoland Vampires series, including Dark Debt, Blood Games, and Wild Things. When not transcribing Merit’s adventures, she bakes, works, and scours the Internet for good recipes and great graphic design. Chloe also maintains her sanity by spending time with her boys—her photographer husband and their dogs, Baxter and Scout.
I know when I enjoyed a book when I have a huge goofy grin on my face, after a few tears. Lucky Break by Chloe Neill, did just that I had a few tears and a goofy grin by the end of the novella. This book is Chicagoland Vampire 10.5 Ethan and Merit’s excellent vacation. NOT. It is Ethan and Merit, do you think they are going to go the Rocky Mountains and Zen out. If you think that then you have never read one of Neill’s books. Nothing is better than the vampires from the shores of Lake Michigan, were sass meets adventure, and in this novella both are in good quantity. I adore the banter between Ethan and Merit, Merit and Gabe and Merit and Damian. Merit gives good banter. The book revolves around Merit and Ethan’s vacation and a century old love story mystery. I was a fun novella and well worth the price.
