Perfect for fans of Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, and Sabrina Jeffries, Ashlyn Macnamara’s blazing hot novel tells the story of mismatched newlyweds who discover a simmering connection.

Unlike every other proper young lady, Miss Emma Jennings views marrying well as little more than a means to an end. Such a merger would provide her industrious father with social credibility, and Emma with a chunk of her vast inheritance. Emma’s practical views are shattered, however, when her father ties her to the fabulously handsome ne’er-do-well Rowan Battencliffe, a man she loathes on sight—from the smile that promises all manner of wickedness to the way he ogles her with those striking blue eyes.

Deep in debt, especially to his wine merchant, Rowan figures the sooner he gets his finances in order, the sooner he can go back to doing what he does best: burning through ridiculous sums of cash. Which is why Rowan agrees to marry the merchant’s daughter, a prim and proper woman with delightful curves and an ample dowry. But Emma seems to think it’s her business to reform him! Their marriage is a tinderbox—and it’s just too tempting to resist playing with fire.

What a Lady Requires it the third and final book of The Eton Boys Trilogy by Ashlyn Macnamara,  the book delves into the last of the three boyhood friend Rowan Batencliffe and his fall from grace.  The others books in the series are not required reading for this book, as Rowan’s secret is outed in this book; and no prior knowledge is needed to enjoy this book.  At his brothers meddling Rowan finds himself with a new wife that of Emma Jennings, a young lady who is invited to ton events but will never be accepted, as she is one of the riches heiresses London, but her father made the mistake of making his money and not having inherited it.  He actually works for a living, as a wine merchant.  Well the marriage is not a love match, but that doesn’t mean that couple isn’t perfect for each other.  Unlike Macnamara previous books in the series I didn’t feel the connection between the two characters the book about a girl who doesn’t fit in to society and a man who didn’t understand how to manage his accounts had a lot of potential, unfortunately Macnamara never drew me into the story; and I didn’t care about the relationship; or the intrigue that surrounds Emma, as it is never fleshed out.  It was a nice romance but without the passion I expect from Macnamara.
