The author of Summer Moon returns to her “great werewolf world,”* where war looms and love may be the key to saving all of shifter kind…
For centuries, Cormack has lived between worlds—a man trapped in the body of a wolf, shunned by humans and shifters alike. Only one person has ever welcomed his company: Elen, a kindred outcast who is feared by others of her ancient Celtic race for her strange healing abilities. Cormack has always valued Elen’s kindness and understanding, but after a desperate act of friendship causes Elen to free him from his curse, he realizes he wants more. He wants all of her—completely and forever.
Except before Cormack can win Elen’s heart, Pendaran, the evil leader of the Guardians, captures her, determined to manipulate her incredible power to aid him in his twisted war against the shapeshifting tribes. Now Cormack must use all of his skills as a warrior and a wolf to save the woman he loves—before Pendaran’s vile schemes destroy them all…

Karen’s Review

Autumn Moon has heralded Jan DeLima as one of the premiere paranormal/urban fantasy/fantasy winters. Her first book Celtic Moon in the Celtic Wolves series was good, her second book Summer Moon was brilliant and Autumn Moon her newest in the series expands on the solid world building foundation she has lain and a beautiful literary work has sprouted upon it.  I am very particular about the  paranormal genre, as a book a praise needs to have solid world building, emotionally invested characters, a fabulous plot, a romance that makes my toes curl, and a series arc. It also does not have to introduce everything in the authors mythos in the first book.  The world needs to be unique, but also expandable in the definition of the parameters the author has set for the series. DeLima gets high marks and gold stars on all these issues, except one glaring problem. The continuity of one character story.  ****Hangs Head**** I hated that I found an ill issue with this book,  I think I may have screamed about it, or growled.  One simple omitted word, can really mess up a books continuity.  Yes I contacted the author and let her know.  This is a brilliantly written book, and it truly hurts not to give it five stars.

This problem took a star away from the otherwise brilliantly crafted tale. There were so much rich texture to the characters, and the plot. The story was full of twist, turns and switchbacks, that at times it left me breathless.  The romance between Elen and Cormack left me in a puddle of heat and heart.  I was enchanted by the character Ms. Hafwen, talk about big bangs in small packages. The paranormal world need more

I have tried not to judge the villagers of Rhuddian, but I find them lacking in their humanity, which I find startling as they are the most human and scorned by the pure blood Guardians.  I do not know why Dylan as there leader is so devoted to them as they have shunned his sister for hundreds of years. Dylan is a perplexing character which I have wanted to slap with a reality check since book one.  The same villagers that fear Elen because of her power viewed Sophie as weak because of lack of power.  Huh… Dylan the people you protect will stab you in the back, they are loyal to you, they use you for protection, how they treat your family had proved you are disposable.  Because they are not willing to even fight for there own freedom, they are easy to betray those around them.
