With larger than life characters and a creative storyline The 27 Club does not disappoint.
I admit I went in blind while reading this book and the story was not at all what I thought it would be. The surprise of this was pure enjoyment.
The characters who are so wonderfully laid out leave you with a sense of complete understanding of who they are, their motives, their ambitions and their emotions.
A brilliant move on the authors part was to lead me to believe within the first few chapters I knew everything there was to know about the characters. The delightful surprise was watching these characters grow, learn and develop until the very end of the book.
“He feels so real. He’s what I crave. He’s what I want. He makes me feel alive.”
The storyline was perfectly paced, exciting, mysterious and alluring.
The author had me gasping in surprise, holding my breath in anticipation and sighing with lingering desire.
“There’s nothing to see through. Feel this.” His lips skim down my neck. “This is me.” He presses his body to mine. “All of me.” His voice is low and seductive.”
The creative and unique ways the author seamlessly intertwines all of the characters storylines was beyond enjoyable and deeply satisfying.
The 27 Club is the first book I have read by Kim Karr but it won’t be the last.
