Loud is How I Love You is a debut novel by Mercy Brown. This book has had a ton of buzz and I was excited to dive in. It had me at rock star and bandmates with benefits! I am a sucker for new adult romance as it is and this one centering around a band made it ten times more appealing. Plus the throwback style to it made for a fun, soulful read.
Stars on the Floor is an upcoming band with Emmy, Travis, Cole, and Joey as its members. All equal members and all have one common goal, so we think. One random night Emmy and Travis hook up and yeah, all hell breaks loose! Well at least in Emmy’s mind. I have to say that I absolutely adored Travis and he was what made this book for me. Because of him I kept reading despite Emmy and her crazy theories, obsessions, and freak-outs. The story pretty much goes round and round…Travis wants more Emmy wants the band to stay the same, no weird stuff. Yeah, that went out the window with all is the scorching hotness going on between them!
Loud is How I Love You will take you on an emotional roller coaster. You’ll swoon one moment, you’ll be angry the next, then you’ll a laugh bit, and repeat. In my opinion, those are the kinds of books that people love. So I say, take a chance on this book and see what all that buzz is about.

Mercy Brown is a retired indie rock front girl turned author and LOUD IS HOW I LOVE YOU is her first book. LOUD is a New Adult novel and will be published by Intermix (Berkley-Penguin) in January 2016. LOUD is based, very, very loosely on Mercy’s experiences fronting bands in the 90s. A follow-up will be published in June 2016.
