From the New York Times Bestseller, Nashoda Rose, comes a powerful love story. The third book in the Unyielding series.
This is Connor's story.
Unstable. Unpredictable. Consumed by perfect rage. I was fighting who I’d become and what I’d done.
There was nothing I cared about except her. She was mine. But I’d forgotten her—my shutterbug. And I lost her.
Until now.
I’d do anything to possess her again. Anything to keep her safe. Protect her against my biggest opponent.
The monster.
Me.
Full-length novel: 93,000 words

~ Maria’s Thoughts ~

Perfectly imperfect, flawed, simple, complicated true love story. Loved Connor’s story. I have been patiently waiting for this book since we found out Connor was alive back in the Tear Asunder series.  He was definitely an intriguing character. Author Nashoda Rose did her character proud. What a complex, tortured hero. Perfect Rage tells Connor’s story beautifully. Connor’s life was turned upside down because he fell in love with the wrong right woman.

Connor is the embodiment of a true hero. Protective, loyal, caring, skilled, smart and very good at his job as an elite soldier. He is also gorgeous, sexy and funny. Alina is beautiful, young, smart, and running from danger when she meets Connor.

“I wouldn’t forget him. Not ever. Because I was leaving all of me with him. He just didn’t know it.”

The banter is light, sweet and fun. The tension between them smolders. Author Nashaoda Rose tells a tale of first love, pure and innocent. However, in the author’s skilled fashion, she adds a twist that changes everything. Gone is the hero we knew. In his place is an angry, volatile, unpredictable man walking a fine line of sanity and uncontrollable rage. But the love is there, buried inside.

“…I surrendered. There was no other way. We’d never had a choice in us. We were. We are.”

Written in alternating POV and flashbacks, the author gives us the missing pieces to discover what happened to Connor. The promise of new love, the evil that destroyed it. The hope that could save it. The story is dark and gritty but light shines through. My heart broke for the characters and what they went through. Their story is about picking up the pieces. The aftermath of what they endured, suffered and survived. But, the emotional scars and damage remained. It is about the journey of a man fighting to accept what happened, coming to terms with who he was, who he became and who he is now. Overcoming his fears so that he could get his life back. His love back. His family and friends. This book!!! The angst!!! The love and heartbreak was intense. The struggle he fought within himself was agonizing. Author Nashoda Rose did a fantastic job with character and story development. I love Tear Asunder,  the original series that started it all, as well as, the first two books in this series, Perfect Chaos and Perfect Ruin. However, I must admit that Perfect Rage is my favorite in the Unyielding series. Absolutely loved and highly recommend.

Perfect Rage is not a standalone. You must read books 1 and 2 of the series in order to truly appreciate Connor’s story. I personally suggest you read With You and Torn from You from the Tear Asunder series, first to fully understand the whole back story but it’s not necessary.
