A delicious, sexy, laugh-out-loud modern romance about a newly single woman and her journey to find love again, from New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton and debut author Nina Bocci.

Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her wounds—and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.

Marcello was the man—the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage and—hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…

Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?

A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.

~ Maria’s Review ~

RomCom queen, author Alice Clayton, and debut author, Nina Bocci, team up to bring you Roman Crazy, a funny, sweet, sexy second chance love story.  I truly enjoyed it from page one. That first line had me laughing out loud.  The writing was seamless, combining the authors’ talents into a fluid, steady paced novel.

Fa del ben e lassa dire…do the good and let them talk. Marcello was good. Very good. Was he  the good I should be doing?”

Meet Marcello. The name just rolls right off your tongue. And he is delicious. Gorgeous, talented, and scorchingly hot, he is the things that dreams are made of. Add a sexy Italian accent and passionate past, how’s a girl to say no?

Avery is a fantastic heroine. She just lost her way but her sarcastic humor make up for that in spades. She handles her baggage with class and laughs. Avery didn’t go looking for anything other than an escape. What she found was so much more.

Together these two sizzle. Their desire is palpable. The way they get swept up in the romance reminds me of what a love affair should be, would be, especially with Italy as the picturesque backdrop.  The vivid descriptions of such iconic places as the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps brought right back to my travels there.

Roman Crazy is fantastically written and delivered. It is a feel good love story with enough drama and laughs to keep the pages turning.  Definitely recommending. Fans of Clayton will not be disappointed. Looking forward to more from this comedic duo, whether collaborative or independent. But ladies, I can’t wait for Daisy’s book….Just saying!
