There is something truly special in Sarina Bowen’s writing. I swear every book that I have read by her lately has been excellent. Hard Hitter is absolutely no different… book #2 in the Brooklyn Bruisers series and it is definitely a must read. Whether you have read Rookie Move or not, Hard Hitter will captivate you. I love a good sports romance and I love a hot sports hero so Patrick and Ari’s story is right up my alley.
From the moment these two grace the pages I just knew they were going to be explosive together. She is coming off a long term relationship and well he doesn’t really do relationships. His dark and sad past broke my heart as well as made me love him even more. Together they bring out the best of each other and with the sparks that fly every time they are together, the slow burn romance turns into full fledged fire within.
I enjoyed the push and pull, I loved that Patrick never gave up on Ari, and I really liked that Ari was able to heal Patrick both body and soul. If you are a fan of hockey romances, or really, all romance stories, then give Hard Hitter a chance. I promise that you won’t be disappointed. Plus that killer teaser at the end has me on pins and needles for the next installment. Well done Ms. Bowen, well done.
