~ Maria’s Review ~
I had waited anxiously for Easy’s story since we had the pleasure of meeting him in Fly With Me, book 1, in this fantastic series of hot, alpha fighter pilots. Author Chanel Cleeton delivered a story worthy of his character. Easy is a sexy, gorgeous, fun, cocky, yet, he is loyal, reliable, a true friend and leader. In short, he is as perfect as they come.
“I love her. I shouldn’t, but I do. I don’t know how not to love her.”
Easy’s character is caught between doing what he feels is the right thing and giving in to the feelings he has for the woman he’s loved forever, his friend and wife of his dead close friend. Easy struggles and it made me love him even more. Dani is a sweet, beautiful, strong character and completely unaware of Easy’s feelings for her. The attraction she begins to develop surprises her, while I’m cheering her on.
“I’m all in here. I’ll wait however long I have to until you’re there too.”
Dani and Easy’s relationship grows and develops naturally throughout the story, making it feel real and getting me completely invested in their outcome. No insta-love. No insta-lust either, but the readers and most of the other characters know how intense his love for her is. I really wanted Easy to get his HEA. Author Chanel Cleeton did such an awesome job showing the vulnerable, deeper side of the wise-cracking, woman magnet fighter pilot. I laughed, I got emotional, and I held my breath, hoping, all the while turning pages, devouring the story in one sitting. There were some frustrating parts and it felt a little rushed towards the end but that doesn’t take away from it being a great book. Easy gets 5 stars and my heart.
I definitely recommend this book and this series. It is sexy, funny and has the right mix of drama and angst to engage and captivate.
