~ Synopsis ~

I wanted to jump.

As a celebrity, I lived in the public eye, but somewhere along the way, I’d lost myself in the spotlight.

Sam Rivers was a gorgeous, tattooed stranger who saved my life with nothing more than a simple conversation.

But we were both standing on that bridge for a reason the night we met. The secrets of our pasts brought us together—and then tore us apart.

Could we find a reason to hold on as life constantly pulled us down?

Or maybe there’s only one direction to go when two people fall in love at rock bottom—up.

~ My Thoughts ~

 Wow … What a fantastic story.

Based on the heavy emotions surrounding the topic of this story the author could have written a dark, sad story.  Instead she wrote a compassionate loving story of two lost souls finding each other and their way.

I fell in love with the characters immediately.  They radiated warmth, love, hurt, confusion and desperation.  They made me want, believe, hope, gasp, laugh and smile.  From their personalities to their physical presence the author wrote all characters with spot on perfection.

I’m pretty sure if you looked up swoon-worthy in the dictionary the definition would be Sam Rivers.  From his rugged, tatted body, to the simple way he caresses your entire being with his words, for me Sam was a perfect character.

“My body ached to hold her.
To feel her.
To help her.
To allow her to heal…me.”  

Levee was such a unique character.  The dimensions the author created with this character were vast, surprising and refreshing.  Just when you think you know Levee, she surprises with her words and actions.

“The perpetual free fall was no match for the way he made me feel.
I was still falling at unstoppable speeds – only, in his arms, as his body claimed me without a single word spoken, I was suddenly falling…up.”

The story is heavy on emotion.  Each character’s actions, words and feeling play such a critical role in fusing together what I felt was a compelling, intense, loving, heartbreaking and heartwarming story.  The words demand that you feel.  They capture your mind, grab hold of your heart and squeezed until you feel everything.

The Fall Up is a love story, a story of faith, a story of forgiving.  A cry for help and a desperate plea to feel without falling.  A beautifully written story of love, hope and learning to live in the present while honoring the past.
