This book!!! I read it in one sitting. No, I didn’t just read it, I devoured it. Crux Untamed is beyond ahhhhmazing. It is heartbreaking, riveting, emotional, edgy, twisted and sexy AF!!! Seriously could not put it down and was sad when it was over because I didn’t want it to end. I don’t know how author Tillie Cole does it. This is book 6 in the Hades Hangmen series and each book is better than the last! That is no easy feat because it’s usually hard to keep a series fresh. Author Tillie Cole does that and more. Her writing is creative and captivating. Her characters are unique and endearing. Crux Untamed is the story of Sia, Cowboy and Hush. It will steal your heart and leave you wanting more.
I don’t even know where to begin. This book was just so fantastic, I don’t think my review can do it justice. The central characters of this installment are so perfectly imperfect. I loved them all. Sia, Ky’s sister, is beautiful, strong, sassy, independent and scarred by her past. A past that haunts her and threatens to take her down. Hush, quiet, gorgeous, brooding, self-loathing, haunted by his past. Cowboy, Hush’s brother by choice, gorgeous, loyal, intuitive, carefree. Brought together by danger and circumstances beyond their control. Held together by feelings that start with a spark, and smolder between them. Feelings that begin the healing they need so much. Gahhhh!! The feels!!! And did I mention sweet, romantic and hot AF?! I’d love to be in the middle of a CowboyHush sandwich. Sweet baby Jesus!!

Crux Untamed is an emotionally charged roller coaster filled with twists and turns, highs and lows. You just have to hold on and enjoy the ride. I laughed. I cried. I yelled. I held my breath. I fell in love. I had emotional whiplash and it was awesome. I thought Flame’s book, Souls Unfractured, gutted me. But the journey of Sia, Hush, and Cowboy is so intense. It has quickly become my favorite in the series, with Hush leading the way straight to my soul. Flashbacks tell us about their past, helping us understand the unimaginable things they went through. They survived to become who they are now. My heart ached and I was so angry at the way ignorance and hate broke Hush and ruined his life. The damage left in the wake of that hate is the catalyst for Cowboy’s redemption and fierce friendship. And beautiful, innocent Sia, looking for love and finding evil disguised as a prince. However, they are resilient and strong. Their worlds collide and they come into their own, discovering many truths hidden in the ashes of the pasts that nearly destroyed them. It isn’t pretty. It’s sad, dark, and ugly, but there is a light, a ray of hope they discover together. Beautiful trauma.
I must include how much I love that all our favorite Hangmen and their women are an integral part of the story. They provide support, drama, conflict, and comic relief. While this could be read as a standalone, it is much better read as part of the series, in order to fully enjoy the story and because the characters are just too great not to appreciate. Crux Untamed is a MUST read. The entire Hades Hangmen series is a MUST read. I CANNOT WAIT for more.

As soon as she could, Tillie left her rural roots for the bright lights of the big city.After graduating from Newcastle University with a BA Hons in Religious Studies, Tillie followed her Professional Rugby player husband around the world for a decade, becoming a teacher in between and thoroughly enjoyed teaching High School students Social Studies before putting pen to paper, and finishing her first novel.Tillie has now settled in Austin, Texas, where she is finally able to sit down and write, throwing herself into fantasy worlds and the fabulous minds of her characters.
