I have no words. This book! So brilliantly written. When Ashes Fall by Marni Mann is nothing I expected and everything I hoped for. Author Marni Mann continues to amaze me with her talent. Poignant, emotional, angsty, beautiful, tragic. Twists that had my heart racing and pulse pounding. My thoughts come in short bursts. I devoured this book, stopping only to sleep. I have been gutted, reduced to ugly snot, dry heave, crying. This story didn’t just move me, it touched my soul.
I am in awe of author Marni Mann’s creativity. Whether she is writing a twisted, dark epic mindfuck or sexy, fun contemporary romance or a heart wrenching, emotional love story, she proves to be a master at her craft. Her writing draws me in and keeps me captive to the very last word.
When Ashes Fall may be her best book yet. It’s hard to describe my thoughts regarding this book because I cannot do it justice. Heartbreaking and hopeful. The characters captivated me and never let go. The story is compelling and told in the present and past flashbacks leading to the present. I do not want to give anything away because going in blind is the best way to read this story, to feel the words as they bleed from the pages. A MUST READ.
