When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.
Read between the lies.
~ My Thoughts ~
The Wife Between Us is more than meets the eye. Twists, turns, lies, deceptions, half-truths and everything in between. This story will keep you guessing until the very end. Than it will shock the hell out of you.
“I was happy, I think, but I wonder now if my memory is playing tricks on me. If it is giving me the gift of an illusion. We all layer them over our remembrances; the filters through which we want to see our lives.”
Written with beautiful characterization creating visuals in every sense is effortless on the part of the person reading. A story line that is not only compelling but carries a haunting aura to it.
You can’t help but suspect everyone only to eliminate them from your list and then to doubt your thought process. While I thought I had figured out the mystery behind The Wife Between Us the author led me down another path and had my mind swirling with what if’s.
“She is oblivious to what I have done to her.
She is unaware of the damage I have wrought; the ruin I have set in motion.
To this beautiful young woman with the heart-shaped face and lush body-the woman my husband Richard, left me for-I’m as invisible as the pigeon scavenging on the sidewalk next to me.
She has no idea what will happen to her if she continues like this.
None at all.”
Just when I exhaled the breath I didn’t even realize I was holding, the dynamic writing duo of Sarah Pekkahen and Greer Hendricks through a curve ball that had me reeling.
A fast paced, intriguing story of mystery, suspense and the past that haunts.
