A feel good story that will leave you with a happy heart and a big smile on your face… that’s my one way of describing this latest novel by Penelope Ward. The Anti-Boyfriend as a title gives you the bad boy vibe turned hero impression that we are so used to… oh but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Deacon is far from a bad boy and the absolute perfect boyfriend… definitely nothing ANTI about him! Now, to get him to see that, that’s a whole other story and that’s what makes this book such a good read.
This is Cary’s and Deacons story, this is Sunny’s story, and it’s a beautiful story. The somewhat player, falls for the sweet, single-mother next-door… yes please! If you are looking for a heartfelt, emotional, sweet read, then this is the book for you. It’s high on the emotional side, low on the angst and unnecessary drama, which I seriously appreciated. Another winner by Penelope Ward! I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.
