The first in an enchanting new male/male romantic duology from Lilah Pace, author of Asking for More and Begging for It ....

James, the handsome, cosmopolitan Prince of Wales, is used to being in the public eye. But he's keeping a king-sized secret...James, next in line for the throne, is gay.

He’s been able to hide his sexual orientation with the help of his best friend and beard, Lady Cassandra. Sometimes he feels like a coward for not coming out, but he daren’t risk losing the crown. If he did, the succession would fall on his deeply troubled younger sister, Princess Amelia. To protect her, James is willing to live a lie.

While on holiday, he meets Benjamin Dahan—a rugged international reporter with a globe-trotting, unattached life—who catches far more than James's eye. And when Ben is transferred to London, it seems fate may finally be smiling on James.

But what began as a torrid fling grows into something far more intimate and powerful. Soon James will have to decide who he is, what he wants from life and love, and what he’s willing to sacrifice for the truth...

Yesi’s Thoughts

When I was given the opportunity to read this book I kind of went back and forth on whether it would be something I would want to read. I have enjoyed reading m/m romance in the past with one particular book being a favorite of mine last year, but it is not my go to genre. I’m pretty selective. Having read work by Lilah Pace before I knew that she was a phenomenal writer, then I read the synopsis and whether this was my go to genre or not, it just sounded so juicy, so scandalous, and just so good. With a full plate of books to read, I decided to take the chance and OH MY GAWWWD was I ever happy to say yes! His Royal Secret turned out to be a phenomenal read. Whether you read m/m or not, this is one great story between two incredible men.

Picture this, the Prince of Wales caught in a rainstorm with a sexy news journalist to help save the day so to speak… in Africa, an intimate setting, and a sexy game of chess, yes, I said chess. From the get go James and Ben have amazing chemistry. It sizzled, really it did, as the world faded away in the background. I truly enjoyed how they met, how they just clicked, and how after an inevitable separation, they somehow had their paths cross again. I’ve said this on my goodreads… the story felt so real that I truly felt like this was the actual royal family and I was reading about their scandalous lives in the press. Almost like royal fan fiction but so much BETTER!

If you are a fan of secret rendezvous, steamy moments, and two gorgeous men who have a world of hurdles to overcome, then this book is for you. James is genuine, sweet, and caring on top of being sexy as hell. Ben is strong, intelligent, and so hot. Together these two steam up the pages but also bring so much more to the table. I could not get enough of this story and as soon as that last page hits, you will be counting the days until His Royal Favorite releases. Do yourself a favor and add this baby to your immediate TBR… better yet, one-click as fast as you can! You will not be disappointed.

About Lilah Pace

Lilah Pace is a pseudonym for a New York Times bestselling author, so she can’t give away too much about herself here, but she has lived everywhere from Italy to the United Kingdom before putting down roots in the American South.

She’s addicted to Diet Coke, loves her dog, and daydreams about several British movie stars (though usually no more than two at a time).

And while it took her a long while to get up the courage to write books, now she hopes she’ll never stop.
