A new standalone sexy contemporary romance by New York Times bestselling author Nina Lane!
He may own a candy company, but this wealthy bachelor is no Willy Wonka.
Sugar Rush Candy Company CEO Luke Stone is a devoted businessman who doesn't do relationships. He does short-term affairs with clearly defined rules. But when a sexy bohemian angel propositions him in a bar, Luke is tempted to want more.
Polly Lockhart is horrified when she wakes the morning after her twenty-third birthday to realize she made a fool of herself with a sinfully delicious man. She tells herself she doesn't have time for romance anyway, as she's fighting to keep her mother's beloved bakery afloat and finish her culinary studies. That all changes when her class tours the famed Sugar Rush headquarters, and Polly collides with her dream man again.
As she succumbs to their hot attraction, Polly soon realizes her bakery isn't the only thing that needs saving. Luke, driven and unyielding, will burn out unless someone convinces him to taste the sweetness of life. But can Polly remember this sugar rush is only temporary?

~ Maria’s Thoughts ~

Sweet Dreams is the first book in a new series by bestselling author Nina Lane. And what a fantastic book it is! Not your average CEO love story. Luke Stone may own a lucrative candy business but he is the yummy treat in this story. Add in young, pretty, independent Polly Lockhart and you have the recipe for a sweet, funny, sexy romance that will leave you wanting more.

“Tell me you believe in love,” she whispered….”I believe in you,” he said.

Swoon! Luke and Polly are an unlikely match.  He is a rigid, wealthy workaholic, not to mention from an affluent family and CEO of the company. He is gorgeous, intimidating and hot. She is young, optimistic, and looking for fun while working hard to make ends meet. On a drunken whim, their worlds collide, making for an amazing, fun read with a Pretty Woman vibe, minus the hooker part.

“You’re in my head all the fucking time. I’m sitting in the boardroom looking at the clock wondering if I can leave work early to come see you. I never leave work early…”

I love the writing style of author Nina Lane. It is fluid, vivid and captivating. Author Nina Lane is creative, imaginative and writes a story that draws you in and holds you till the end.  Her characters have depth and personality. I really liked them, became invested in them immediately and was rooting for their happiness. Their banter was witty and charged. Author Nina Lane writes in alternating POV, which I love. It’s my favorite because it lets me get inside both the hero and heroine’s heads, getting to know them better. The supporting characters enhance the story and I really liked them, too.

Sweet Dreams has humor, drama and heart. All the ingredients for an great romance. Highly recommend. It is book 1 in a new series, but also a standalone. No cliffhanger here, however, I cannot wait to see what book 2 brings. The characters introduced in this book are intriguing and I’m sure, with author Nina Lane writing, will have awesome stories to tell.
