Bad is Cruz is proof author LJ Shen is one of the most versatile and creative writers around. Very different from her other books, Bad Cruz is an enemies to lovers RomCom that is laugh out loud, sexy and fun with just the right amount of drama that keeps you wanting more!!
Cruz Costello is not the type of hero that LJ Shen usually gives us. He is the actual nice guy. He’s perfect on paper and in his home town, but he’s got as much spice as sugar. I loved getting to know the real Cruz on the cruise and after.
Tennessee is feisty, unapologetic but also vulnerable. She’s the town pariah and for the life of me I don’t get why really but it gives her sass.
They have history and there’s no love lost between them. On the cruise, the gloves come off. I love their banter. It’s snarky, funny and sarcastic. Their attraction is palpable. I love their journey. I would’ve liked more together time but I can never get enough!
Bad Cruz is a great, light, witty read. A fabulous enemies to lovers romcom. But more importantly, further proof that author LJ Shen is talented, creative and versatile, able to tackle a variety of tropes and hit it out of the park. She never disappoints.
