Cocky Bastard has it all … a bit of mystery, intrigue, a sexy as all holy sin alpha male with a heart of gold and a women who is just trying to find her way back to herself.
Trust me when I say it is impossible not to fall for Chance. He is the ultimate man. Good looking, sexy as can be, mysterious, intriguing, funny, sweet, charming and dominate. He is softhearted, determined, demanding and adventurous. He is someone who makes you laugh, brings tears to you eyes, wraps himself around your heart and is never predictable. He is a mystery that seems impossible to solve and just when you think you have him figured out …. he shocks you into silence and leaves you with one of the biggest what the hell just happened moments.
Aubrey is a simple women who just wants to live a simple and happy life. When her world seems to crumble before her very eyes she doesn’t fall apart, she grabs hold of her destiny and decides not to be a victim but to be a survivor. Fate though has other plans for Aubrey.
Relating to every character is this book is done so without any effort of the part of the person reading. The authors do a wonderful job at making these characters come to life upon the pages of this book. Each character big or small plays such an important part to the storyline and I loved them all. Written with such wonder the characters seem like “real” everyday people. I loved the diversity and the wonderful words that created each character essence.
The storyline was creative, unique and fun. I enjoyed reading this story. I laughed out loud, I sighed, I gasped and well at times I felt myself clinging to hope. My heart was full, my heart shattered and nothing could prepare me for the surprises that appeared when I least expected them. What I found most interesting in this book was the presentation of the story. I will admit it is unlike anything I have read and I thought it was written magnificently.
Lets talk sex …. I bow to the greatness of these two authors who wrote one of the most sensual non-sex scenes I have ever read. I was blown away by this one scene. It was hot, it was so damn sexy and it will be forever burned into my mind. This is just another perfect example of the creative way this book is written.
This was my introduction to these authors on a joint venture. I can guarantee this is the first of the many books they have written together that I will read.
If you are looking for a fun, flirty, surprising and all around feel good book trust me when I say you have found it with Cocky Bastard.
