Tycoon is a second chance romance with a twist. I love the characters. Christos is HOT. He is complicated and enticing. Bryn is beautiful, smart, driven and determined to succeed. Aaric and Bryn share history. They were the friends that almost were, the what if, the one that got away. Whatever the cliché for the romance that could’ve been but wasn’t. That’s what they were.
Their push / pull is frustrating but intense. The attraction is palpable. The buildup, a slow, smoldering burn. The story is perfectly paced, even when I wanted them to hurry up and get together. I love how author Katy Evans develops their relationship. The banter is funny, charged, and sweet.
Tycoon is told in alternating POV with flashbacks to the past. This is my favorite because it lets me get inside each character. I feel like I really get to know and understand both the hero and heroine this way. I like it because I’m privy to information the other character may not yet know. It builds the suspense for me.
Author Katy Evans gives enough to make you want more. The sexy times are steamy and primal. The relationship develops slowly, no insta-love. But, just when it looks like smooth sailing, BAM! Plot twist!! Author Katy Evans had me like What?! No!! Why?! and then, adding, an “Oh,sh**!” with a fist pump!
Tycoon has everything you want in a fantastic, romantic escape. It is a sexy, hot, read with enough drama and twists to keep the pages turning. The main characters are endearing and compliment each other. The supporting characters enhance the story. Highly recommend. Fans of Katy Evans will not be disappointed.
