From Ilona Andrews, #1 New York Times bestselling author, the thrilling conclusion to her Hidden Legacy series, as Nevada and Rogan grapple with a power beyond even their imagination…
Nevada Baylor can’t decide which is more frustrating—harnessing her truthseeker abilities or dealing with Connor “Mad” Rogan and their evolving relationship. Yes, the billionaire Prime is helping her navigate the complex magical world in which she’s become a crucial player—and sometimes a pawn—but she also has to deal with his ex-fiancée, whose husband has disappeared, and whose damsel-in-distress act is wearing very, very thin.
Rogan faces his own challenges, too, as Nevada’s magical rank has made her a desirable match for other Primes. Controlling his immense powers is child’s play next to controlling his conflicting emotions. And now he and Nevada are confronted by a new threat within her own family. Can they face this together? Or is their world about to go up in smoke?
It’s FRIDAY, and the Yay has you wanting to spend your hard earned cash on a new read. Well I suggest you plop down your money on Ilona Andrews’ newest Hidden Legacy series book titled WildFire. When it comes to urban fantasy romance Ilona Andrews is on top of the author field. Ilona Andrews is actual two people husband and wife duo Ilona and Andrew Gordon. Yes I will mess up their names as when two become one I get freaking confused. I possible may pray for their continued wedded bliss, and at this point they could call themselves mashed potatos and I would still read their books. Whoopsie, I got off the subject silly me. Okay back to the book, I listened to the audio book and also have the eBook version, I am anal that way I need both versions. The audio book version is narrated by Renee Raudman. I am nothing but nicely brutally honest and the first Edge Series by Ilona Andrews book I listened to narrated by Raudman I hated. I swore I would not listen again to her. I ate my words and love her. I will admit she is an acquired taste, but once I acquired it I could not fathom not listening to Raudman’s smooth melodious voice reading to me. Does that sound to stalkerish? YIKES! Now to the book, which picks up on Nevada Baylors’ life shortly after book two. Nevada and Rogan have just finished burning up the sheets when grandmother dearest decides to pop into the Baylors’ lives. Grandmother dearest is Tremaine psychopath extraordinaire, who wants all her grandkiddies to come join her in her evil club house. Hmmm…. NOPE NADDA NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Not only is Nevada dealing with hell grandma, but Rohan’s ex finance is needing help and hires Baylor investigation. REALLY??? Nevada is a great character, and her family is filled with great characters. Okay let me gush somemore, the entire world of Hidden Legacy is filled with standout characters, of both the good and bad variety. The characters and the world building are the hallmark of the Andrews’ stellar writing. This series and book have more bedsport than other Andrews’ books but they never let the sexy times dictate the book’s plot, thank the heavens. The mark of a good book for me is if I cut out all the sex of a story do I still have a book worth reading. In the Hidden Legacy series and all of Andrews’ books I always have a great read.
