Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.
It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.
When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special—I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.
You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.
It’s how we got there.
TAMED goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions—it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.

One of my favorite reads of the Summer!
Tamed by Emma Chase reminded me of all the things I love in a Summer read. It is lighthearted, funny, sweet, sexy as hell with two characters that bring all of that to life! This is Matthew’s story, told in his POV, and it is absolute male-minded perfection. <3
“This is a story about a player, who meets a slightly crazy girl.”
A (former) player and a crazy girl indeed! If you read Tangled, Twisted, and Holy Frigging Matrimony, you know how Matthew and Dee’s story ends up. So this was a very clever book in my opinion. Ms. Chase went back to how it all began, to the journey, to the good, the bad, and the forever. She gave us a story that I didn’t necessarily know I wanted but ended up loving and couldn’t imagine it not being told.
“Stick around, even if you think you already know the ending. Because the greatest part of a road trip isn’t arriving at your destination. It’s all the wild stuff that happens along the way.”
I won’t go into many detail because I feel that you should really experience this book for yourself. It is a fantastic addition to a great series but honestly, if you have fallen behind on your reading and haven’t read anything other than Tangled, you are still good to go on reading this one. It takes place during the Tangled timeline and it gives us a whole other perspective on what was going on while Drew was oh so very “sick” and Kate was resisting his charms. Dee and Matthew bring on a whole new world of fun and I recommend you join in!
“Dee’s gone from a girl I wanted to nail, to a girl I wanted to hang out with, to a girl I really liked…to someone I don’t want to live without.”
