Zeth MotherF***ing Mayfair is back and as bad ass as ever!!! Violent Things is the introduction to her new series, Chaos & Ruin. Author Callie Hart takes us where Blood & Roses ended. To see what happens next for our beloved, gruff, foul-mouthed, sexy as sin, Zeth Mayfair and his tough as nails, beautiful Dr. Sloane Romera. I, for one, was so excited to be getting more Zeth, especially after a brief taste in Hell’s Kitchen, a series collaboration between Callie Hart and Lilli Saint Germain.
The story is fast paced and engaging. I couldn’t get enough and then it was over. It’s a quick, short read, setting up the series. We meet new, hot, intriguing characters who will be playing pivotal roles in this series, it seems. Young, wary hot head Mason is one I cannot wait to get to know. Author Callie Hart writes in alternating POV, which I love because you get to be inside each character’s head and really understand what they’re thinking and why.
And that black duffel bag returns with our alpha, hot, controlling Zeth. The steam between Zeth and Sloane is panty melting, sizzling and scorching. Dayum these two!! The banter between them is funny. Zeth’s character makes me laugh out loud. He’s cocky and arrogant as ever, yet sweet in his own gritty way.

Callie Hart is off to a great start. Staying true to her characters and the life they live. I cannot wait for the next one. I need more!! While Violent Things can be read as a stand alone because it is the start of a new series, I recommend reading the Blood & Roses series first. So worth the time to get to know their story from the beginning.
