“When you’re with me, you’re not vulnerable. When you’re with me, you are safe. When you’re with me, you will never be alone. And as for your heart, Sera Lafferty…I’ll make it beat so fast you’ll never feel it ache.”

Sera Lafferty isn’t insane. She’s always made the smart decisions. She has a career. A loving sister. The carefully mapped out, peaceful life in Seattle that she’s craved since childhood. So why, then, does she suddenly find herself on a scavenger hunt, traveling across the country with a stranger? And not just any stranger. A maddeningly sexy hitman, who’s been paid to end her life.

His past is shrouded in secrets, and his eyes are filled with ghosts. Sera knows she should head back to Seattle, to sever all ties with her handsome man in black. But leaving him might not just hurt Sera in the end. It might end up getting her killed.

Fix Marcosa damn well knows better. He’s been focused on his goals ever since the fateful day he swore to avenge his friend’s brutal attack. Booze. Drugs. Violence. Sex. Nothing has distracted him from his mission. But Sera is more potent than alcohol, more addicting than any opiate. She makes the fury in his blood sing. And her body? Her body is utter perfection, and he just can’t keep his hands off it. Or his mouth for that matter.

Fix is determined.

Screw the money. Screw the consequences, and screw anybody stupid enough to stand in his way.

He isn’t going to end Sera Lafferty’s life.

He’s damn well going to save it.

Nasty by Callie Hart is a fantastic read. Author Callie Hart seamless picks up the story where Dirty, book 1, ends. Our perfectly flawed characters continue their quest for answers and continue to explore what is going on between them. It’s a twisty, bumpy, hot AF ride that leads to an ending that will leave you with your jaw hanging open and a cocky smile on your face. Well played, Callie Hart. I CANNOT wait for the final book!!! My mind is racing with predictions of how it all ends.

Fix Marcosa stays true to his dirty talking, sexy, alpha ways. Sera is just as sassy and feisty as always. We learn more about why they are the way they are through flashback and dialogue between them as they take a chance on each other while looking for clues to who set things in motion and why. Their banter is funny, sarcastic, filled with innuendo and promises of erotic pleasure. The sexy times are steamy AF!

We get some answers, but with those answers, new questions arise. I like the way author Callie Hart develops the plot, revealing things a layer at a time, with each layer giving us more possible theories to ponder. Great set up for the final installment.

About Callie Hart

Callie has experienced many changes throughout her life, and gone through many ups and downs that have all worked towards shaping and molding her into the person she is today: fun loving, active, social, and hard working. The only thing that has remained a constant throughout her life is writing. Creating characters who will tear your conscience in two is a favorite pastime of Callie’s. There are few real saints and sinners in her books; more often, the denizens of her stories are all very human. Broken, flawed, and always with the potential for redemption.
Despite the subject matter being markedly hot and heavy in comparison to the stories she wrote in elementary school, there will always be an element of fairytale to her work.
